First of all, apologies for not being active recenty. It looks like I haven't posted in three weeks(not including the giveaway post), which let's face it isn't great. In today's post I want to elaborate on what blogging really is about compared to how many people perceive it.
When I tell people what I do for living I often sense some reluctance and even some sarcasm. I am usually asked, "Can you earn a lot of money?" "Do you receive free gifts?" "Can you sit at home all day?" Well, I can tell you now, if you want to make money as a blogger you need to dedicate your life to it 24/7. If you do this you will discover that its worth all the efforts. You will be well rewarded and you will receive those rewards almost immediately. I feel a vibe that for some reason the general public's perception of blogging is quite negative. I am convinced this is due to lack of knowledge about the industry and misunderstanding of what blogging is.
Blogging is similar to creating online magazine/diary. The important difference to writting a magazine is that blog is far more pesonal and intimatebecause it's usually created byone person. If a blog is considered to be attriactive, interesting and valuable it will naturally and organically grow an audience in some period of time. Whlist you are producing your own blog you are also creating your own brand and postion it in eyes of others. If blog turns out to be successful, various brands will want to work with you and use your site to advertise their products.
Until recently companies used to work with one major influencer at a time, spending huge amount of money to create advetrising campaigns for TV, magazines and websites. Now much of these budgets are spent on influencer marketing where influencers create advertising content for a brand and charg them for doing so. Is there a lot of money in this? yes there is, but you really need to work hard for it. There is no such thing as free lunch ! On average companies make a return of six times on what they invest in the influencer marketing. They work with very talented people (bloggers, youtubers, content creators) who create marketing content for them. By doing so, companies save time and efforts and make a lot in sales. They also use marketing tools which accurately measure the return on their investment. There is a lot of "influencers" who are faking their following and engagement especially on Instagram. This is very unethical and easy to recognise such practice, but this is enough topic for another post.
A major concern of mine is to remain authentic. I recommend brands that I use regularly, where quality and value of money are the key elements. I always ask myslef a question: Will I recommend this to my mother, my sister or my best friend? If the answer is yes then collaboration is on. This way i can buid long term relationships with brands that I love and admire. Building relationships with other bloggers and influencers is also very important. Trust me, supporting each other and is much more rewarding that competing and comparing yourself against others.You can loose yourself in this dangerous game. The world and society is changing. There isnow a huge market for people who are creative online. They deliver a lot more entertainment and information that magazines and TV adverts.
There seems to be a stereotypical view that bloggingis not a real job. But hold on a second. being a blogger means that you are an article writer, a storyteller, a photographer, a model, an administrator and an account manager. it is also important to to be aware of and learn about new technology as industry seems to be evolving all the time. It's pretty much like running your own business with lots of tasks to do all of the time.

W dzisiejszym poscie chce opowiedziec czym tak nprawde jest blogowanie, porownujac to z opinia publiczna.
Kiedy opowiadam jak zarabiam na zycie, bardzo czesto wyczuwam niechec, a nawet sarkazm. Przewaznie jestem pytana o to "Czy zarabiam duzo pieniedzy? " , " Czy otrzymuje darmowe prezenty?" oraz " Czy moge siedziec w domu calymi dniami ?" Tak wiec, szczerze wam odpowiadam, ze jesli chcesz zarabiac pieniadze jako bloger, to tak naprawde musisz poswiecic swoj czas 24h 7 dni w tygodniu. Bardzo szybko mozesz sie przekonac ze jest to naprawde warte takiego poswecenia. Ten przemysl dziala tak, ze wysilek i ciezka praca wynagradzane sa bardzo szczodrze i niemal natychmiastowo. Mimo to, mam takie wrazenie , iz z jakiegos powodu generalny poglad na blogowanie jest przewaznie negatywny. Jestem jednak przekonana, ze wynika to z powodu braku wiedzy na temat tej branzy oraz niezrozumienia na czym polega influencer marketing.
Tworzenie bloga mozna porownac do prowadzenia internetowego magazynu/pamietnika. Wazna roznica jest jednak to ze blog jest o wiele bardziej osobista i intymna forma wyrazu, poniewaz jest tworzony przez konkretna osobe. Jesli blog jest uznany jako wartosciowy, ciekawy i atrakcyjny w naturalny i organiczny sposob przyciagnie odbiorcow, oczywiscie wymaga to czasu. Tworzac bloga w tym samym czasie tworzysz swoja marke i pozycjonujesz ja w oczach swoich obserwatorow oraz firm. Jesli blog okaze sie sukcesem, firmy beda chcialy sie z nim utozszamiac oraz reklamowac na nim swoje produkty(doslownie stac sie jego czescia).
Do niedawna firmy mialy w zwyczaju pracowac z konkretnym bardzo znanym influencerem, wydajac przy tym ogromne pieniadze na kampanie reklamowe. W tym momencie znaczna czesc tego budzetu jest przeznaczana na influencer marketing, gdzie influencerzy tworza material reklamowy dla firm gdzie sami ustawiaja stawki. Jest w tym duzo pieniedzy? Tak, ale naprawde trzeba ciezko pracowac. Cos takiego jak darmowy lunch nie istnieje. Srednio, jesli mowa jest o influencer marketing, zwrot na inwestycji jest szesciokrotny. Utalentowani blogerzy, kreatorzy oraz youtuberzy tworza material reklamowy dla konkretnych marek podnoszac sprzedaz, zaoszczedzajac przy tym czas i wysilek firm. Wazne jest to ze powstaje coraz wiecej marketingowych narzedzi, ktore w coraz dokladniejszy sposob sa w stanie zmierzyc stope zwrotu inwestycji. Obecnie jest bardzo duzo "influencerow" ktorzy manipuluja danymi na teman ilosci obserwujacych oraz ich zaangazowaniem, zwlaszcza na Instagramie. Jest to bardzo nieetyczne i latwe w rozpoznaniu, ale nie chce rozpisywac sie na ten temat.
Najwiekszym wyzwaniem w zawodzie jest pozostac autentycznym. Jesli chodzi o mnie to wspolpracuje tylko z firmami, ktorych produktow uzywam regularnie, gdzie jakosc oraz stosunek wartosci do ceny sa glownymi wytycznymi. Zawsze przed jakakolwiek wspolpraca zadaje sobie pytanie: " Czy polecilabym ten produkt swojej mamie, siostrze czy najlepszej przyjaciolce? Jesli odpowiedz brzmi tak, to jak najbardziej moge wtedy rozpoczac wspolprace. Tylko w ten sposob bede mogla nawiazac dlugotrwala wspolprace z markami, ktore uwielbiam i podziwiam. Bardzo wazne jest jeszcze ciagle sledzenie brazy, ktora niezwykle czesto ulega roznym wplywom i zmianom. Takze, jesli chcemy zostac pionierami w swojej dziedzinie, nauka jest tu nieodlaczna czescia zawodu. Budowanie relacji z innymi influencerami oraz blogerami jest rownie wazna. Uwierzcie mi, pomaganie sobie nawzajem niesie o wiele wieksza satysfakcje niz konkurowanie i ciagle porownywanie sie do innych. Mozna bardzo latwo i czasem bezpowrotnie sie w tym zatracic. Swiat i spoleczensctwo ogromnie sie zmienia. W tej chwili jest ogromny popyt na ludzi kreatywnych online. Dostarczaja oni bowiem o wiele wiecej rozrywki oraz wiedzy w porownaniu do magazynow czy reklam telewizyjnych.
I ten okropny stereotyp, ze blogowanie to nie jest prawdziwa praca. Poczekaj chwilke, bycie blogerem oznacza ze piszesz artykuly, opowiadasz historie, jestes fotografem, modelem, administratorem, menadzerem, ktory odpowiada za kampanie i kontakty z marketingowcami oraz markami. Jest to jednym slowem prowadzenie wlasnej dzialalnosci, gdzie trzeba wykonywac rozne zadania w zaleznosci od potrzeby.
Tak wiec, czy nie brzmi to jak prawdziwa praca?
